Here at Simply Armed we spend our days reading, watching and writing about all things gun related, that means that we spend a lot of time finding really great resources, and just as much time finding the not so good stuff. Chances are that you don’t have that kind of time on your hands and that you want to spend your precious moments only reading and watching the really good stuff. With that in mind we decided to put together this list of the best YouTube channels that we absolutely love to follow. These YouTubers provide great entertainment and great information and are sure to entertain as you while away the hours.
So without further ado, here are our favorite go to YouTube channels for all things gun related.
Colion Noir
Colion Noir is a God among shooters, and for good reason, his articulate poetic style has taken on gun control head on. He is a wonderful representative for the shooting sports, so much so that the NRA gave him his own show. Talking about everything from gun reviews (and his love affair with Glock) to rants about gun control and the kinds of people you find at gun stores, Colion not only entertains but informs with every video. He describes himself as “an Urban (City) Gun Enthusiast and One of Many who Personify the The Pew Pew Lifestyle.”
Hickok45
If you’re looking to buy a new gun, the first thing you should do is check out if Hickok45 has a review on it, and chances are he does. Shooting in his own back yard shooting range, Hickok45 provides some of the best and most comprehensive gun reviews around, and what’s more they’re all highly entertaining. Watching Hickok45 you’re likely to find yourself wishing he was your dad, because he’s just that awesome and growing up with him seems like it would have been a whole lot of fun
The Yankee Marshall
Possibly the funniest man you’ll find making gun related YouTube videos, The Yankee Marshall is unapologetically ridiculous. Taking on everything from gun reviews to rants, and never taking himself too seriously, he is an absolutely entertaining watch while still providing excellant information. Probably the most unique thing about The Yankee Marshalls videos are the hilarious captions that he peppers throughout, ensureing that you will keep laughing while you learn.
Miculek.com
If you haven’t heard of Jerry Miculek you should definitely check him out, he has been dubbed “the greatest shooter of all time” and for good reason, he holds 20 world records including many for being the fastest revolver shooter, shotgun shooter and rifle shooter (in different categories). He’s also a seven time USPSA 3-Gun National Champion, Two time Overall IPSC Handgun World Shoot Revolver Champion and Twenty-one time International Revolver Champion. So when Jerry speaks we all should listen, and on his YouTube channel he shares invaluable shooting tips and videos of him shooting that have to be seen to be believed.
Active Self Protection
If self defense is the reason you shoot you should absolutely pay attention to Active Self Protection. These videos showcase real life crimes and self defense shootings and analyze the behavior of the victim and discuss how things could have been handled differently. It’s a great channel to help you process how you might deal with different scenarios, but warning, some of the videos may be graphic and not for the faint hearted.
Sarah Carling
As a Brit living and working in the USA, her views on gun ownership and the second amendment have evolved over the years, allowing her to fully understand both sides of the gun control debate and she regularly speaks on the matter to help others understand why she feels the second amendment must be protected and why she chooses to be an advocate for the shooting sports.

Absolutely should include USCCA’s “Into The Fray” videos. There are around 147 of them (as of 01/03/17) and they are all excellent. Taught by Kevin Michalowski, editor of Concealed Carry magazine. Actually, I’m surprised they weren’t included in this list. They’re certainly of much greater value that Noir’s videos.
