An attempted robber was shot and killed by his victim in a Target parking lot this past Thursday night on Dec. 14. The incident happened on Chicago’s South Side. WGN Channel 9 published a story about the incident.
The incident happened at the Target located near 33rd St. and Damen in the McKinley Park neighborhood. The incident occurred at around 8:00 pm on Dec. 14.
Per initial reports, the suspect had tried to rob the victim via gunpoint. The victim pulled his own weapon and fired it multiple times at the suspect. Emergency services transported the suspect to Stroger Hospital.
The hospital pronounced the suspect dead at the scene. Chicago Police roped off a secondary scene nearby. It isn’t known what the secondary scene has to do with this incident.
Initial reports also said that the victim is a concealed carry holder.
