
A homeowner shot and killed a burglary suspect in the early hours of Thursday, Oct. 10. The incident happened at a residence in Knoxville, Tennessee. Knox News published a story about the shooting on their site.
The Knoxville Police Department said that the attempted home invasion happened at around 1:00 am at a residence in the 2400 block of Lamp Drive. The male suspect, armed with a handgun, attempted to enter the residence through a window.
The homeowner fired his weapon at the suspected burglar. Upon arriving, police discovered the burglar deceased. During the autopsy, authorities identified the deceased suspect. They haven’t released the suspect’s name because they’re currently attempting to reach the suspect’s family.
Both homeowners were questions and then released. Knoxville Police said that the investigation remains open.
