A clerk at a convenience store in Glenpool, OK, turned the tables on a would-be robber this past Wednesday on Dec. 13. Channel 6 published a story about the incident on their website, NewsOn6.com.
The incident occurred at the H&Z Mart at 141st St. South and Highway 75. Convenience store clerk Gary Adams was behind the counter when the suspect, 48-year-old Ezell Brown, entered the store.
The suspect pointed a gun at the victim. He told the victim to empty the cash register. Brown also said that he’d kill the victim if the victim didn’t hand over the money.
Adams did as he was told. It was then that Adams took matters into his own hands. He grabbed the suspects weapon. The suspect fled. Before chasing after the suspect, Adams grabbed a bat.
Adams said, “I circled, back tracked around him and kept him this way here, and he kept telling me, ‘I’ve got a gun.’ I said, ‘if you pull the gun, I’m gonna shoot you with the gun that I have of yours’.”
“Emotions are pretty high right now, thinking of my family I got to go home to my family so a little bit emotions kind of got the better of me but I’m doing okay,” Adams said.
Tulsa Police booked Ezell Brown into the county jail on multiple charges.
As a Brit living and working in the USA, her views on gun ownership and the second amendment have evolved over the years, allowing her to fully understand both sides of the gun control debate and she regularly speaks on the matter to help others understand why she feels the second amendment must be protected and why she chooses to be an advocate for the shooting sports.
