The incident that happened this past Saturday on Jan. 20, appears to be one where a current boyfriend shot an ex-boyfriend. EverythingLubbock.com posted a story about the incident on their site.
The story gather’s most of it’s facts from a Sunday morning police report. On Saturday morning, police were called to an apartment in Lubbock, Texas at about 4:30 am. After arriving police discovered that the ex-boyfriend had been shot by the current boyfriend.
Police attempted to discuss the incident with a woman at the scene. She was too hysterical to help. Police also said that the shooter refused to discuss the incident without first contacting a lawyer.
The first officer to arrive to the scene wrote the following in the report, “I asked who was shot and who had fired the weapon. [A man] stood with his hands above his head and advised [the person who was shot and killed] had broken into the apartment and [the man] shot him in self-defense.”
Lubbock Police placed the current boyfriend in handcuffs. Eventually, they released him from the handcuffs. Police said nothing about the condition of the ex-boyfriend.
