Delaware State have released the name of a home intruder that was shot and killed this past Sunday night on September 24. DelawareOnline.com posted a story about the incident.
The incident happened at a Bridgeville area home right before midnight on Sunday. Police identified the deceased suspect as 20-year-old Larry T. Hobbs. Hobbs is from Laurel, Delaware.
Hobbs and another suspect broke into a home located in the 11000 block of Iris Field Lane. A resident at the home confronted Hobbs and the other suspect. A struggle ensued. During the struggle, a single bullet fired from the gun that the suspects had in their possession.
The bullet struck Hobbs. Delaware Police said that the bullet had struck Hobbs in the chest. The other suspect fled shortly after the bullet fired.
After arriving, police found Hobbs lying near the kitchen. The bullet had entered his upper torso. Hobbs was declared dead at the scene.
