The Henderson County Sherriff’s Office in North Carolina are asking for the public’s help to find the third suspect in an attempted robbery and shooting that happened near Etowah on Oct. 27. WSPA published a story about the incident on their website.

At around 3:30 am on Saturday, Oct. 27, three individuals knocked on the door to a residence on HS Dalton Rd near Etowah, North Carolina. Once an individual inside opened the door, two of the suspects pushed their way in.

A shootout ensued with both suspects fleeing. Per a report, one of the suspects and the individual at the residence were shot. Both required treatment.

The Henderson County Sherriff’s Office said that they’ve charged 18-year-old Jacob Wayne Smith, a Horse Shoe resident, with conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon. A $40,000 secure bond has been placed on Smith.

Authorities also charged Smith’s accomplice, 21-year-old Miguel Raymundo Perez of Hendersonville, with first degree burglary, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, assault with a deadly weapon causing serious injury, and discharging a weapon inside an occupied dwelling. Perez’s bail has been set at $170,000.

Deputies obtained warrants for 24-year-old Zachary Lee Young. He’s believed to be the third suspect involved in the incident. Young’s last known address was in the 1000 block of Brooklyn Ave. in Hendersonville, NC.

Any persons with information on Zachary Lee young’s whereabouts are encouraged to call the Henderson County Sherriff’s Office at 828-697-4911.
