A father shot his daughter’s ex-boyfriend as the ex-boyfriend attempted to crawl through a window and into the daughter’s home. The incident occurred at a residence in Sana Ana, California on Sunday morning on April 22. The Orange County Register published a story about the incident on their site.
The incident happened at a home located in the 1600 block of W. McFadden. It happened at around 1:40 a.m. on April 22. The ex-boyfriend attempted to intrude into the daughter’s home by climbing through an open window. While climbing through the window, the woman’s father shot the suspect.
Santa Ana Police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna says that authorities had come to the house earlier in the evening after receiving a 911 call about a domestic disturbance. Once arriving, Cpl. Bertagna said that they couldn’t find the suspect.
“Apparently, he returned later. The father confronted the suspect as he was coming through a window,” Cpl. Bertagna said in describing the incident.
The suspect as been identified as 38-year-old Robert White. White is a resident of Garden Grove. Emergency services transported White to a hospital. He does not live at the home.
Cpl. Bertagna said that the investigation remains open.
