
A man shot a woman attacking him with a knife in a domestic dispute on Wednesday, Oct. 17. The incident happened at a residence near Lake Worth in Florida. NBC Channel 5 News published a story about the attack on their site.
The knife attack and shooting occurred at around 10:40 pm at a home in the 2500 block of 10th Ave. The Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office sent deputies to the residence. Law enforcement found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. They also found a man that had knife wounds.
After an investigation, authorities determined that the woman, 29-year-old Alicia Figueroa, had attacked the man with a knife. The man had retaliated by shooting Figueroa in the leg.
Palm Beach deputies arrested Figueroa. They’ve charged her with aggravated assault and aggravated battery. The Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office didn’t say if they’d charge the man for firing his weapon.
