A man in Oklahoma shot and killed his neighbor this past Friday on June 2 after witnessing the neighbor attempt to drown two of his three children. KTUL published a story about the incident on their website.
The incident occurred in Ada, Oklahoma. Per City of Ada spokesperson Lisa Bratcher, a 12-year-old girl ran to get help from a neighbor. She told the neighbor that her father was trying to drown her 3-month old twin siblings, a boy and a girl.
The neighbor went to the residence with his firearm. Per Bratcher, the neighbor witnessed the suspect holding the 3-month old children under the water in a bathtub while threatening his spouse with a knife.
The neighbor shot the man twice. Bratcher told reporters that the deceased suspect is 27-year-old Leland Foster of Poteau.
Bratcher said that police questioned the neighbor. They released him after questioning. Bratcher also said that the children were taken to a hospital. They are listed as being in stable condition.
Bratcher released no further information.
