A pawn shop owner in a suburb near St. Louis, Missouri shot and killed an attempted robber this past Thursday on March 22. KSDK published a story about the incident on their site.
The incident happened in Arnold, Missouri. Arnold is a suburb of St. Louis. It’s located 19.1 miles outside of St. Louis. At around 4:00 pm this past Thursday on March 22, the armed suspect came into Pawn King on Jeff Co Boulevard in Arnold.
Per Arnold Police Chief Robert Shockey, the armed suspect demanded money. Pawn King’s owner shot and killed the suspect. Chief Shockey said that the owner wasn’t hurt.
A long time Pawn King customer, Tom McKinnon, said that he doesn’t feel bad for the killed attempted robber. “As long as the good guys are okay, I don’t care what happens to the bad guys.”
“He (the suspect) went there to do harm to somebody, not just to steal, but to do harm, take him (the owner) out of the picture,” McKinnon added.
Chief Shockey said that the investigation into the incident remains open.
