There are a wealth of 9mm carry options on the market, each with it’s own features and quirks. Ask 10 people what their favorite 9mm carry pistol is and you will get 10 different answers, so how exactly are you supposed to choose the weapon that is right for you to carry every day?
There are a number of factors you have to take into account when choosing your carry pistol, and the best way to figure out exactly which gun is right for you is to try shooting the ones you are most interested in, the easiest way to do this is to find a range that lets you rent firearms and try each one out. You will soon find that some will feel snappier than others, some just won’t sit right in your hand, the trigger may feel too long or heavy. Much the same as when choosing any firearm, choosing a carry gun is a highly personal decision and one that should be weighed to take in a number of factors. However when choosing a carry weapon there is one additional factor that needs to be taken into account, the size of the firearm, sometimes we just want the smallest 9mm pistol we can find.
I’ve spoken before about the fact that my initial choice for a carry weapon, the Springfield XDs was simply too large for me to be able to carry comfortably, and many women have similar issues with the larger carry weapons, in many cases our bodies just don’t accomodate them or our clothing is simply too fitted. With that in mind we took a look at some of the most popular 9mm carry guns to see just which ones are biggest and smallest to help you narrow down the field when choosing a carry weapon.
